Vera Ann Groves Smith

Vera Ann Groves Smith, a beloved member of the Port Gibson community, passed away peacefully on December 17 2023, at the age of 75. Born on September 7, 1948, Vera brought joy and light to the lives of those around her through her love for singing and her warm spirit.

Vera's dedication to her family and friends was evident in every aspect of her life. She was known her kindness, compassion, and the ability uplift those in need. Her infectious laughter and melodious voice left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

A Celebration of Life in honor of Vera will be held at Mt. Burden Baptist Church located at 1087 Barland Road, Port Gibson, MS on December 30, 2023. The service will begin at 11:00 AM, with the event concluding at 12:00 PM. It is a time for all who loved her to come together, share their memories, and recognize the beautiful contributions she made to their lives.

Vera's legacy will live on in the hearts of those she touched, and her spirit will continue to inspire all who remember her. May she rest in peace.
