Roderick Sinclair Ringo, Sr., age 48, passed away on February 20, 2024 He was born on July 20, 1975, in Vicksburg, where he spent his formative years. Rod obtained his education at Warrenton and later attended Vicksburg High School, laying the groundwork for a life dedicated to hard work and craftsmanship.
Rod's hands, skilled the art of home remodeling, were not only tools of his trade at Lighthouse Home Improvement Company but also instruments of love that built a legacy of warmth and shelter. His craftsmanship was a gift to the Central Texas community, leaving behind a trail of homes as enduring as his memory. Beyond his professional achievements, Rod inspired those around him to cherish the simple blessings of daily life.
In addition to his work, Rod enjoyed fishing, poetry, and art—activities that allowed him to commune with the world and express his reverence for the beauty of life and the mysteries of God’s creation. These pursuits provided him with sacred moments of reflection and joy.
Rod leaves to cherish his memories his family, who were the cornerstone of his existence. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Tracy Ringo; daughters, Rozhanda Ringo, CaMyah Ringo, Rodrianna Ringo, and R’kiyah Ringo; parents, Evangelist Bertha Davenport and Robert Flaggs; brothers and sister, Romero (Evelyn) Ringo, Sr., Ramond (Cassandra) Ringo, Reginald Johnson, Robert Flaggs, Jr., Jarrod Flaggs, Willie Flaggs, and Tasha Johnson; nine grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Rod also leaves to cherish his memories his special friends, Sonesta Aigoro, Cynthia Moett, Jonathan Allen, Alon Michael, and Martile Fulton.
He was preceded in death by his beloved sons, Roderick Sinclair Ringo, Jr., and Rocquaze Ringo.
Visitation will be held on March 1, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by the Funeral Service on March 2, 2024, at 11:00 AM, both at C J Williams Mortuary Center, located at 1625 Monroe Street, Vicksburg, MS, 39180.
Rod's legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know him. His dedication to family, craftsmanship, and the appreciation of life's small joys will be remembered and cherished by many.
