Robbie Lee Wheatley Hebron, a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on February10, 202, leaving behind a legacy of love and strength that resonates in the hearts of all who knew her. Born on August 11, 1941, Robbie led a life characterized by hard work, determination, and an unwavering love for her family.
Robbie was not just a remarkable individual; she was the heartbeat of her family. Her spirit shone brightly through her accomplishments, both personal and professional. Along with the thoughtful support of her father and husband, she founded H&W Janitorial Service, LLC, which provided dedicated cleaning services to businesses in the Vicksburg area. Her entrepreneurial spirit was a reflection of her work ethic and commitment to serving her community.
A proud graduate of St. Mary Catholic High School, Robbie's aspirations led her to pursue further education in hopes of becoming a medical assistant. Yet, it was her role as a loving matriarch that truly embodied her essence. She took immense pride in her family, finding joy in collecting their memories, accomplishments, and stories to share with others. Her home was a sanctuary filled with warmth and laughter, where her love served as a guiding light. She embraced the roles of mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother with unparalleled dedication, cherishing every moment spent with her loved ones.
Robbie was also a founding member of the Melinda C. Robinson Subdivision and was deeply involved in her community for over fifty years, garnishing respect and admiration from many. Her passion for beautifying her surroundings and enriching the lives of those around her showcased her heart’s desire to uplift and empower.
She leaves a legacy cherished by her son, Elbert (Karen) Hebron, Jr., of Humble, TX; two step-sons, Walter Griffin and Elwin (Rosalyn) Johnson, Sr., of Vicksburg, MS; her beloved siblings, Annie Bernice Harrison and Reginald (Carolyn) Wheatley, both of Houston, TX, and Mary Wheatley of Vicksburg, MS; her best friend, Guinevere Dukes of Vicksburg, MS; along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends from all walks of life.
Robbie's life was undeniably touched by loss; she was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Savannah Wheatley; her loving husband, Elbert Hebron, Sr.; her cherished daughters, Beverly Hebron Wallace and Valerie Hebron Duffin; her siblings, Gladys Ellis, Ernestine Allen, Richard Wheatley, and Herman Wheatley; and her grandparents, Caesar and Mary Edwards, and Pearlie Davis and Jesse Moseley.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on February 19, 2023, at the House of Peace Worship Church International in Vicksburg, MS, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember the beautiful soul that Robbie was. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever remain alive in the cherished memories and stories shared by those she loved. As she often stated, Robbie looked forward to the day when she would reunite with her loved ones once again.
