Marion Faye Wright

Marion Faye Wright “Mam" was born in Vicksburg, Mississippi. After graduating from Warren Central High School, she briefly attended Alcorn State University, where she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. Because of her love for people, Marion attended Hinds Community College and graduate with her Practical Nurse degree. She served as an Licensed Practical Nurse for over 20 years. God called her home on July 29, 2023, at her home in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was 60.


Marion was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Coniell and Walter Warfield, Sr., as well as her maternal grandparents, William and Millie Strong; father, Walter Warfield, Jr. (Buddy): stepfather, Columbus Royster; two brothers, Edward Wright and Louis Wright, all of Vicksburg, MS; and daughter, Jennifer Wright of Milwaukee, WI.


Marion is survived by: daughter, Natalie (Kit) Sloan of Tulsa, OK: two granddaughters Dajhane Smith of Tulsa, OK, and Janiza Wright of Milwaukee, WI; grandson, Benard Dudley of Milwaukee, WI; mother, Henrietta Royster; three sisters, Earlina Wright, Anita (Terry) Bell, and Yvonne Riley, all of Vicksburg, MS; four brothers, Larry (Rose Mary) Wright and Anthony Wright, both of Vicksburg, MS, Kenneth (Lawanda) Wright of Baton Rouge, LA, and Trevis Royster of Memphis, TN; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
