Lucinda Harris Williams, a beloved matriarch, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and dear friend, passed away peacefully on April 13 2024, at the age of 76. Born on July 30, 1947, Lucinda was a radiant presence in the lives of many, and her legacy will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those she loved.

A graduate of the Washington County school system, Lucinda dedicated a significant portion of her life to serving her community. She was employed with Kings Headstart and River Region Health until her retirement in 2010, where she touched the lives of countless children and families with her compassion and dedication.

Lucinda was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Williams, and her parents, Reverend Collis L. Harris, Sr. and Mattie Putnum Harris. She was also preceded by her sisters, Julia, Mary, Stella, and Luella, and her brother, Collis Harris Jr. Their love and memories will forever remain in the fabric of her family's story.

She is survived by her three daughters, Mattie Reynolds and Sandra Wilson, both of Vicksburg, MS, and Debra Wilson-Love (Carlton) of Columbus, GA. Lucinda's sons, Johnny Reynolds, Sr. (Annie) of Vicksburg, MS, and Tony Bonnetty of Houston, TX, carry on her spirit and love. A proud grandmother, Lucinda leaves behind a remarkable legacy of grandchildren, including KaShondru Reynolds of Columbus, GA, Donquindrick Reynolds (Curbe) of Vicksburg, MS, Shamika Wilson (Clarence), Patrice Wilson of Vicksburg, MS, Johnny Reynolds, Jr. (Rebecca) of San Antonio, TX, Jamika Reynolds of Atlanta, GA, Anitra McKnight of Tennessee, Kretonia Wilson of Dallas, TX, Antonio Bonnetty (Maria) of Pittsburgh, PA, Jerrick Reynolds of Vicksburg, MS, Jontae Reynolds of Utah, and Emairia Love of Columbus, GA. She also held her bonus grandkids close to her heart, including Louis Parsons of Huntsville, AL, Makayla McGee of Memphis, TN, Candiance Albert of Duluth, GA, and Kayla Calvin of Vicksburg, MS.

Lucinda is remembered fondly by her siblings: brother Collis Gordon of Chicago, IL, and sisters Dorothy Harris Sanders (James), Delphine Edwards (Tommy) of Hollandale, MS, Ora Harris Murphy, Shirley Randle (Hosea), and Christine Harris Jones of Dallas, TX. She also leaves behind special cousins, nieces, and friends, including Ella Mae (Scott), Regina Maxwell (Antonio), and Karlette Stewart, along with a host of others who regarded her as family.

A funeral service celebrating her life will be held on April 20, 2024, at Pleasant Valley M.B. Church in Vicksburg, MS. The service will begin at 2:00 PM. Lucinda Harris Williams will be deeply missed, but her enduring spirit will forever be cherished by all who knew her.
