Janet Bell Dudley, born on January 24, 1970, in Indianola, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on September 7 2024, after a brief illness. Janet was a shining light in the lives of many, known for her unwavering passion for cooking and her adventurous spirit in trying out new recipes that she often shared with her family. Her more than 20-year career in the food and industry was a testament to her commitment to nourishing others, not just through the meals she prepared, but also through the love she infused into every dish.

A proud graduate of Vicksburg High School in 1989, Janet's roots in the community ran deep, and Vicksburg became the backdrop for many cherished memories. Her heart was full of warmth and joy, especially when surrounded by her family, whom she treasured dearly. Janet leaves behind three beloved children: Craig Bell, Roberto Bell, and Franchecka Barnes.

She is preceded in death by her father, Walter Bell, Sr.; her sister, Linda Faye Brown; and her granddaughter, Janiyha Faye Bell. While these losses are profound, her memory will forever resonate in the hearts of many. Janet also leaves behind an impressive legacy in the form of her 13 siblings: Walter Bell, Jr. (Mary) of Pearl, Mississippi, Annette Morris (Decon) of Isola, Mississippi, and Yvonne Newton (Lawrence), Nathaniel Bell (Teresa), Jerald Bell, Dawn Bell (Laquinta), all of Vicksburg, Mississippi, along with Eric Cooper, Keith Cooper, and Maxcine Cooper, all from Yazoo City, Mississippi, and Kenneth Bell (Renee), Brian Bell, and Jamaal Bell of Vicksburg.

Janet's love extended to her four grandchildren, Harmonie, Karmyn, Harper, and Jahiem, who brought her immense joy. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and special friends, including Elizabeth Montgomery, Terry Ann Griffin, Pamela Newton, and Eric Dudley, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

A visitation to celebrate Janet's life will be held at C J Williams Mortuary Center in Vicksburg, Mississippi, on September 20, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM. This will be followed by a funeral service on September 21, 2024, beginning at 11:00 AM, concluding at 12:00 PM.

Janet Bell Dudley's spirit will continue to shine bright in the culinary delights she created, the laughter shared around her dining table, and the countless lives she touched with her kindness and generosity. In every cherished memory, she will forever remain a beloved presence.
