James Clifton Edwards

Mr. James Clifton Edwards, known affectionately as JC, was born on February 14, 1933, in Bolton, Mississippi, to the late Edwards Sr. and Gertrude Washington Edwards. He departed this life on February 6, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of faith and family.

At a young age, JC committed his life to Christ at Chapel Hill Baptist Church in Bolton. He later moved to Vicksburg, Mississippi, where he became an esteemed member of Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, remaining an active participant until his passing.

Throughout his professional career, JC contributed to several organizations, including Anderson Tully Saw Mill, Oliver Electric Company, and Wells & Lahatte Appliance Company. His work ethic and dedication were admired by many.

JC was preceded in death by his beloved son, Darrin Bernard Johnson, as well as his parents and eleven of his siblings. He is survived by two brothers: his identical twin, James Thomas Edwards Sr. (Dan Ethel) of Vicksburg, Mississippi, and Willie Edwards (Mary) of Hawthorne, California; one sister, Betty Moore of Chicago, Illinois; along with a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends who will cherish his memory.

Mr. Edwards' life was marked by his unwavering faith, commitment to family, and the many lives he touched throughout his journey. His memory will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.
