Ivory Reed

Ivory Jean Reed was born on January 12, 1959, to the late Virginia Ivory & late Sterling Ivory, Sr. in Vicksburg, MS. Her birth father is Louis Wilson. Her grandparents are the late Ira & Mary Reed.

She was baptized at Rose Hill #1 Church. She worked at Beechwood School as a Teacher’s Aide. Ivory was educated at Warren Central High School and Utica College. Her hobbies included singing, reading, doing crossword puzzles, visiting the nursing homes, and taking her children to church programs.

She is preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. She is also preceded by her brothers Sterling Ivory, Jr., and James Herman Reed (Jimmy); aunts Rosie Nelson, Katie Neal, Georgia Reed, & Mable Reed; uncles George Reed, Sr., Robert Lee Reed (Bob), Leonard Cook (LB), & Archie Bruce Reed; & nephew Michael Andrew Reed.

She leaves to cherish her children Latoya Reed, Jessica Harris (the late Shirray Harris), Courtney Reed (Kay), & Candace Jones (Timothy); grandchildren Shatoria Reed, Micah Reed, Corneshia Chaney, Aloysius Fairman, Ebone’ Fairman, Corshaun Turner, Chrystian Jones, Raylon Jones, Timia Davis, Tamera Davis, & IylieGrace Reed; great-grandchild Skylar Rose Reed; three sisters Mary Griffin (the late Elijah Griffin), Annie Reynolds (Johnny), Cheryl Patten (Andrew Patten, Sr.); aunt Ivory Mae Rushing; nieces Lakesha Reed, & Sterlisha Ivory; nephews Andrew Patten, Jr. (Aeriel), Carlos Griffin (LaShandra), Elijah S. Griffin, & Tyler Ivory; special friend Clifton Rawling.
