Eddie Darnal Wilson

It is with profound sorrow and deep respect that we announce the passing of Eddie Darnal Wilson, who left this world on March 12, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on August 27, 1951, Eddie was a man of immense strength and unwavering dedication, known for his industrious spirit as both a truck driver and mechanic. His life was marked by hard work and a commitment to his craft, embodying the virtues of responsibility and determination.

Above all, Eddie cherished the time spent with his loved ones. He created lasting memories filled with laughter, love, and wisdom, which will forever resonate in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to be part of his journey. His passion for music and love for playing the guitar brought joy not only to himself but also to family and friends who gathered around him, sharing melodies that encapsulated precious moments of togetherness.

Eddie leaves behind a legacy that will be honored and remembered by his beloved children: Brenda Wilson and Ariel Wilson-Hardy (Gary) of Vicksburg, Mississippi; Victoria Anderson and Kenyada Smith (Darryl) of Las Vegas, Nevada; Turkessa Brown of Summerville, South Carolina; Jeffery Wilson of Hurst, Texas; Tarance Brown of Seabrook, Texas; and Eddie Jones of Biloxi, Mississippi. He is also survived by three stepdaughters, Tongie Brown of Memphis, Tennessee, and Antoinette Taylor and Yolanda Taylor of Vicksburg, Mississippi; one sister, Bettye Jean Felker of Griffith, Indiana; 22 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will carry forth his memory with love.

Preceding him in death were his beloved wife, Shirley Ann Wilson, whose memory he will hold eternally dear; his parents, Jim and Clara Wilson; son, Thadeous Wilson; along with his sisters, Zelma Lee Neal, Alberta Craft, Joy Renette Wilson Babbs, Clenton Tene Wilson, and Margaret Evans; and brothers, Earlene Joe Wilson and Berlin Wilson. They welcomed him with open arms into a reunion filled with peace and joy.

A Celebration of life for Mr. Eddie Darnal Wilson will be held at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 11171 Halls Ferry Road, Vicksburg, Mississippi, on March 29, 2025, commencing at 11:00 A.M. Mr. Wilson will lie in repose from 9:00 AM until the hour of service.

Eddie Darnal Wilson's memory shall forever illuminate paths trodden by those he loved, echoing in the notes of music shared among family and friends, and instilling within them the virtues he so steadfastly embodied.
