Donna Kay Miller Moore, born on September 21, 1962, in Vicksburg, Mississippi, passed away on May 8, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, creativity. She dedicated her life to serving others, becoming a beloved figure during her time at Delta Point and Ameristar Casino, where her warm smile and kind heart made her a customer favorite. Later, she continued to uplift the spirits of those around her while working at Vicksburg Catholic Schools and Dollar General, always greeting everyone with the same beautiful smile.

A true entertainer at heart, Donna filled every family gathering with joy. She loved to sing and practice dance routines to the tunes of her favorite singers and groups. Her vibrant performances captivated friends and family alike, and at karaoke nights, she was especially known for her heartfelt rendition of “Coal Miner’s Daughter.” These moments of joy and laughter were woven into the memories of those who knew and loved her.

Education was important to Donna. She graduated from Vicksburg High School in 1980 and furthered her studies at Alcorn State University. Her passion for music and performance shone through as she proudly played in ‘The Sounds of Dyn-O-Mite” marching band as a Purple Flasher.

In addition to her love for music, Donna was a woman of many hidden talents. She explored her creativity through drawing and writing poetry, captivating those who listened to her impeccable storytelling of childhood memories. In her later years, she channeled her artistic skills into designing unique jewelry and accent pieces, sharing her creations with her loved ones and finding peace in the joyous act of giving.

Donna leaves to cherish her memories her loving husband, George Moore, and her four children: Tiffany, Brandon (Shartara), Corey, and Candice. She adored her three grandchildren: Xaivian, Trinity, and Treya (Buttercup), who brought endless joy to her life. Donna is also survived by her siblings: Richard Miller Jr. of Pensacola, FL; Renetta (Clarence) Thomas of Edwards, MS; Gerald Miller; and Michael Miller, both of Vicksburg, MS. She is remembered fondly by her niece and nephew, Chelsea and Richard Thomas of Pearland, TX, as well as a special family friend, Mary Pendleton of Vicksburg, MS, and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, the late Richard (Mick) and Louise (Lou) Miller, who adored her and shaped the woman she became.

The visitation will take place on May 15, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at C J Williams Mortuary Center located at 1625 Monroe Street, Vicksburg, MS 39180. A funeral service celebrating Donna’s remarkable life will follow on May 17, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Holly Grove M. B. Church, 746 Johnson Street, Vicksburg, MS 39180.

Donna Kay Miller Moore will be greatly missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
