Debra Thomas

Debra Thomas, a cherished soul born on November 19, 1978, embarked her eternal journey on August 10, 2024. Her absence leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of all had the privilege of knowing her. 

As a devoted mother, she filled the lives of her children—Ricky Thomas, Leon Miles, Ledale Miles, Akila Thomas, Daytwon Walker, D'Leontaye Walker, LeShay Walker, Akylilah Walker, Demetrick Truitt, and Mikkel Truitt—with love and unyielding support. Each moment spent together became a cherished memory.

Debra's unwavering bonds with her siblings—Lakeshia Clark, Shaundayln Gregory, Jackie Doyle, Minnie Johnson, Caroline Nelson, Tyrone Nelson, Charles Nelson, and Diamond Appleton—speak to the deep roots of family she nurtured. 

In her role as an aunt, Debra embraced her nephew Josiah Thomas and her nieces Denise Thomas, Nakeita Thomas, and Aaliyah Carter with a spirit of warmth that enriched their lives. 

Among her beloved friends, Amanda Hargrove and Zenobia Smith stood by her side through countless memories, their camaraderie illuminated by shared joys and cherished moments in time.

A visitation to celebrate Debra’s life will be held on August 23, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at C J Williams Mortuary Center in Vicksburg, Mississippi. Friends and loved ones will gather to reflect on the vibrant moments shared with her. The funeral service will follow on August 24, 2024, at 2:00 PM, allowing all whose lives she touched to come together one last time in remembrance of her radiant spirit.

Debra Thomas's life may have been a brief flicker in the vast tapestry of existence, but her light will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those she loved.
