Brian Sheppard Wilson, born on August 3, 1981, in Vicksburg Mississippi, left this world on July 31, 2024, leaving behind a legacy filled with love, commitment, and cherished memories. From an early age, Brian demonstrated his strong faith, confessing Christ and becoming a devoted member of Greater Mt. Olive Baptist Church, where he faithfully as a deacon under the guidance of Pastor Douglas Harris.
A proud product of Vicksburg Warren School District, Brian dedicated many years of his life to his career at Industrial Wood Products in Vicksburg, where his hard work and dedication were held in high regard by colleagues and peers alike. His strong work ethic and commitment to excellence were evident in all that he undertook.
Brian’s life was enriched by the love and companionship of his family. He is deeply missed by his three sisters, Veronica Wilson, Georgia Wilson, and Catherine (Kenyatta) Wilson; as well as his two brothers, Isaac (Cheryl) Wilson and Mark (Mary) Wilson. His absence resonates through the laughter and joy of his nieces: Teresa Wilson, Ashley Wilson, Jasmine Wilson, Keirston Wilson, Sherrell Kelly, Azaria Wilson, and Saudia Stewart, as well as his nephews: Gregory Wilson, Travis Wilson, Issac Wilson IV, Corey Wilson, Mark Sims, Robert Sims, and Ahmad Stewart. The family also holds dear a host of great-nieces and nephews whose smiles and stories will carry Brian’s spirit forward.
In this time of sorrow, the memories of Brian are kept alive not only by his family but also by the extended connections he forged throughout his life. He will be lovingly remembered by the Woodson, Stamps, Wildees, Jacksons, Littles, Lees, Daniels, Byrds, and Copelands families, alongside special friends Beverly Steward and June Copeland, who stood by him through thick and thin.
Brian’s voyage was also marked by loss, and he now reunites with his parents, Georgia (Woodson) Wilson and Louis Spencer; his maternal grandparents, Joe Woodson, Sr. and Lillie Mae (Copeland) Woodson; his paternal grandparents, and his dear great-nephew, Travis Jamal Wilson, Jr., who he will surely greet with open arms.
The visitation for Brian will be held on August 9, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at C J Williams Mortuary Center in Vicksburg, MS. His funeral service will follow on August 10, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the same location, where family and friends can gather to celebrate a life well lived.
Brian Sheppard Wilson will forever remain a cherished soul, whose heart touched many and whose memory will continue to inspire those who loved him.
