Aarion Lumpkin, born on December 22, 1945, embarked on his final journey on December1, 2023, leaving behind a tapestry of memories woven from his love, laughter, and dedication to his family and friends. As a proud Marine, he embodied the spirit of service and commitment, qualities that resonated deeply in all facets of life.

Adorned stories of resilience, Aarion's was a testament to the bonds he nurtured through laughter and love. He cherished his roles as a father and brother, and his legacy continues to thrive within his beloved daughters: Yarvannia Malone Smith (Barry), Amanda Lumpkin, Yolanda Malone, Carolyn Mack, and Barbara Ross, along with his son, William Malone. Each of them carries the essence of his kindness and strength, tales that will forever echo in their hearts.

Aarion’s siblings, Jerry Lumpkin, Sylvester Lumpkin, and Kathrine Gleese, stand united in memory, reflecting on the profound impact he had on their lives. He was a pillar of support, a confidant, and an unwavering presence, his spirit infusing the air around them with warmth and joy. And in his life partner, Shirley Malone, he discovered a soulmate who walked beside him through every chapter, their bond a shimmering beacon of devotion.

Preceding Aarion in death were his parents, Terrell and Willie Mae Lumpkin, whose teachings and love sculpted the man he became. He also mourned his brothers, Jessie Lumpkin, Sr., Lee Charles Lumpkin, Sr., and Allen Lumpkin, as well as his sister, Carolyn Johnson, each of whom left indelible marks on his life. The memories of these lost loved ones now gather around him like stars in the night sky, illuminating his legacy and guiding him home.

Aarion’s life will be celebrated with a visitation on December 15, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at C J Williams Mortuary Center in Vicksburg, MS. A funeral service will follow the next day, December 16, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Cool Springs Baptist Church, where friends and family will gather to honor a life lived so fully and completely.
